Banana Espresso Collagen Smoothie

YUM…this is my morning go-to. It’s super easy, healthy, & it’s got a nice caffeine kick. I tend to hate smoothies that taste too healthy, but all of these ingredients are delicious on their own so together it is *chefs kiss8*

Bananas are super high in nutrients, low in calories (not that that matters), and they help to support regulated blood sugar & a healthy heart! Plus, they’re like $.39 at Trader Joes. I use oat milk because I’ve been limiting my dairy intake (with the exception of cheese…and ice cream…), but you could make this with whatever milk your heart desires! I use a combination of collagen and whey protein because I love what collagen does for my hair, and I love how whey makes me feel full without being bloated. This is a fool proof recipe, try it out!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup oat milk - cup being the actual cup that you’re going to drink it out of

  • 1 banana

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder - I use this one

  • 2 scoops collagen peptides - I use this one

  • 1-2 spoonfuls of ground espresso depending on how tired you are - I use this one

  • 1 splash of vanilla extract

  • 3 ice cubes

  • Cinnamon to taste

Directions:

Throw it all in the blender! I start with the oat milk because I’ve found if I put the banana in first, some of it gets stuck to the blender and I need alllll that banana goodness. Once it’s all in, blend on medium until it reaches your desired thickness. Top it with some powdered cinnamon and enjoy! Let me know what you think :)
